Kirstin
Kirstin completed her B.S. in Exercise Science in 2012 and recently completed her Master’s of Public Health in May 2015. She started running after years in competitive dance and marching band but without much intention. In 2010, after meeting best friend, Kaycee, she completed her first Couch to 5K plan and race. She then progressed and ran her first half-marathon in 2012. Today, she is a practicing personal trainer and TRX Group instructor. Her biggest challenges are avoiding anything that’s primary ingredient is sugar and forcing herself to do strength training. Outside of fitness, she also enjoys best friend time, camping, and visiting family. Stay tuned for developing interests as she has not had time to explore them.
Kaycee
Kaycee is a recent graduate from physical therapy school, so she's been a little busy for the past few years. She started running in summer of 2010 with the Couch-to-5k program because she wanted to give running a try after many repeated failures in that department due to never following a training schedule. She progressed to her first half marathon in May 2011 and completed a marathon in 2012. Now, she's just working on getting faster and sticking to half marathons because they are usually more fun than marathons and way less time consuming considering the challenges of being in a doctoral-level program. Her biggest eating challenge is having a dietary intolerance to dairy and probably a lot of other things, but still just wanting to eat chocolate. Her favorite non-running things are her dog, her family, best friend activities, and spending time outdoors doing outdoorsy things.
